The Art of Gothic Launch (October 2014)

The Art of Gothic

As well as my inclusion in the forthcoming 'The Art of Gothic' by Natasha Scharf I will be attending the London launch events in London on the 31st of October - this Halloween!

The double-barreled launch will initially take place at The British Library as part of their 'Terror and Wonder: The Gothic Imagination' - the UK's biggest ever Gothic exhibition.

This is followed by a launch/afterparty at Deathrock/Darkwave club 'Dead and Buried'.

Stereohype Exhibition (September - October 2014)

As you may know that I contributed my 'Punk Rock Panties' to Stereohype's Button-Badge range a while back and have since acted as a judge on their competition panel.

This weekend sees the opening of a retrospective exhibition of their 10 year collection as part of the London Design Festival. I look forward to seeing my pants on display...

    Winning Badge Design Now Available at Stereohype (September 2011)

    Winning Stereohype Badge Pushingnormal is pleased to announce that a new badge design has been selected and is available to buy at graphic art & fashion boutique: Stereohype.

    The badge design, originally submitted as a set of three, beat stiff competition to received 2nd place in Stereohype's annual badge design competition.

    New Website Commissions (August 2011)

    Pushingnormal is proud to announce two new website commissions are now live. Pepis (New Site) is a complete rebuild for established clients 'Pepi's Hairdressing' and the other is a new blog based social hub for emerging singer songwriter LINKSHORT[w420].

    The illustration section of pushingnormal has been updated to include new recent work.

    Sony Ireland Artist Website (May 2011)

    Sony Music Ireland commission pushingnormal to build a new website for artist Bressie (Niall Breslin - the formerly of The Blizzards) to launch his new single 'Can't Stay Young Forever'.

    The site features sections for gig information, sound clips, videos and biography as well as being a hub for Bressie's social networking profiles. See the section for the Bressie Music website for more info.

    Pushingnormal client Raging Zombie will be at the London MCM Expo (London's Comic Convention) with Zombie Girls in tow this weekend (29 - 31st October at Excel London) to tie in with the recent launch of the Raging Zombie website created by pushingnormal.

    Showreel Showtime! (July 2010)

    The new pushingnormal Pushingnormal - Showreel is now online; featuring a huge amount of previously unseen material and clips from all the music videos to date. Be one of the first to see it here.

    It features everything from pin-ups and witches to aliens and superheroes, with a few penguins thrown in for good measure. The showreel is also available on pushingnormal's YouTube Channel for sharing and posting comments.

    Raging Zombies! (May 2010)

    Raging Zombie supply professionally mounted Chirashi - a Japanese form of promotional artwork. Pushingnormal was asked to produced a logo and branding for them.

    As well as the ID for Raging Zombie, pushingnormal produced a series of images to show the frames in context.

    These 'lifestyle catalog' images were then subverted with the addition of crime scene/horror film details. See Raging Zombie - Promotional Images.

    Colourstat are a London based digital printing specialists who provide a wide range of services.

    Pushingnormal's website for them reflects their strong brand and features an editable animated 'special offers' homepage advert and an uploading facility to allow their clients to send them large files quickly.

    Pushingnormal was commissioned to supply a caricature identity and logo type for escape artist, compŠre, and man of action, The Irrepressible Mr. Flay - a performer of dramatic and death-defying stunts on the burlesque and cabaret scene.

    This London boutique cocktail bar and club required a intelligent Flash based solution to reflect the smooth style and atmosphere of the club. Features include a easily updated Flash based gallery, content, audio and animation.

    Timbaland Screen Saver (January 2008)

    Pushingnormal has been working with The Reptile House on multimedia promotional items and has just produced a Flash based screen saver for hip hop producer Timbaland's UK release of Shock Value in MP3 format on USB key!

    January also saw the relaunch of the Reptile House website and expansion into broadcast production.
